NEW RELEASE

The family behind Hirsch Hill Estate believe there are no shortcuts in life. Whether it’s breeding champion racehorses or exploring new vineyard practices, they produce honest wines with 100% estate grown and hand harvested fruit, offering a unique taste of the northern end of the Yarra Valley region.

 Tasting Notes

The 2017 vintage provided a long ripening period with a warm summer. Ripe red berries on the nose followed by classic regional characters of strawberry, cherry and plum on the palate. Soft, silky tannins frame the ripe berry fruit flavours.

Winemaking

Hand picked on March 2017, the fruit was crushed and de-stemmed and fermented in open pots. Plunged twice daily until dry and matured in new (30%) and seasoned French hogshead for 9 months prior to bottling.
