"Better, and by quite a bit, than the '22 pinot noir. A vibrant crimson purple, this is brightly fruited with its lifted bouquet of red and black fruits, floral notes and spice. Every bit as good, too, on the energetic and very nicely balanced palate. That it's so well priced is a bonus."

"A quite beautiful and pretty wine from this very good vintage. Aromas of strawberry and raspberry are immediately captivating before the light-bodied palate starts to reveal its magic. Light and refined with fine chalky tannins and a bright acidity elevating through to the finish."

"Looking at the Hirsch Hill website, I gather this wine sees a new winemaker and a new on-site winery.
Raspberry, cherry, a little spice, rhubarb and some autumnal/earthy characters. It’s medium-bodied, offers some firm tannin, but it’s also just a little bit ‘minerally’ too, with balanced acidity, and a spicy, stony, orange peel finish of good length. The tannin here is still kind of assertive, and in some respects, has something of a Nebbiolo character about it, though all up, I reckon it pulls off a different style of Pinot Noir pretty well."

"Offering lovely fruit purity with stylish complexity, it's delicately lifted on the nose with red berry, olive, hazelnut and warm spice aromas, followed by a succulent palate delivering soothing mouthfeel with fine texture. Elegant and alluring with beautiful poise and persistency. At its best: now to 2033."
